WHO'S WHO OF NURSING EDITORS

Back to Who's Who Index

Susan Bakewell-Sachs, PhD, PN, APRN, BC
The Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing

Neonatal Editor, The Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing (2004)

Years as Editor: Since 2003

Years in INANE: Since 2003

Other position: Dean and Professor, the College of New Jersey School of Nursing

Accomplishment: The 20th anniversary issue of the JPNN

Best: Bringing contributions to nursing science and practice to publication; helping to make information available for practice.

Worst: Keeping authors, reviewers, and contributing editors on schedule

3 words: Energetic, capable, friendly

Strangest request: I look forward to reading others’ experiences, so I can have some ideas of what to expect.

If not editor?: Being an editor is not my primary work. If I were not an editor, I would potentially have more free time. Since I get bored easily, I would probably fill that time with another professional commitment.

Relax: Reading, walking/hiking, cooking, skiing, vacationing with my husband and children, and watching Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.
