![]() |
Nancy K. Lowe, CNM, PhD, FACNM, FAAN Editor, Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN), 2001 Prior Editor Position: Associate Editor, Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing Years as Editor: Since 1997 Years in INANE: First meeting in 1998, several meetings since then. Other position: Elnora Thomson Distinguished Professor of Nursing, School of Nursing, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR Accomplishment: Being the editor of JOGNN; it is the journal I "grew up on" in my specialty as a young RN. I count it a high honor to serve as its editor. Best: The opportunity that I have to facilitate the dissemination of the science and the best practices of the field. Worst: The work has no ends and no beginnings; it is constant regardless of my need for a break or vacation. If not editor?: I already "do" many things besides being an editor. The editor role is in addition to my fulltime life as an academician including research, teaching, practice and professional service. I would just do more of the "other stuff" if I were not an editor. |
