Years as Editor: Since 1990

Accomplishment: Launching two journals in 1996. The subscriptions have grown steadily since then

Best: Liaising with many different authors and colleagues. Having autonomy and responsibility. Trying to make journals lively and attractive.

Worst: Having autonomy and responsibility, and not having a deputy to take over when I go on holiday, etc..

Amusing: I’m scratching my head and can’t think of any.

3 words: Pompous, hoarder, expert

Strangest request: Whether the author has to pay to have the article published in the journal.

If not editor?: Surf in Hawaii

Relax?: Tennis, cycling, motorcycling, reading, films, music, children. I have recently become the owner of a fish pond (it came with the house) and have unexpectedly found I enjoy watching and feeding the fish and frogs.
