Carol A. Patsdaughter, PhD, RN, ACRN

Co-editor, Journal of Cultural Diversity (2002 - present)
Associate Editor, Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (2007 - present)

Prior Editor’s Position: Member of editorial review boards and panels

Years as Editor: Since 2001

Years in INANE: Since 2003

Other Position: Professor, Florida International University

Accomplishment: I was guest co-editor of a Special Issue on Culture and HIV/AIDS in the Journal of Multicultural Nursing and Health 11(1) 2005. Contributors included leading HIV/AIDS nurse researchers from across the country.

Best: Interacting with national and international colleagues.

Worst: Having to reject manuscripts that are not suitable for publication

3 words: team player, creative, good-humored

Strangest request: To read their entire master’s thesis. To publish their article by a certain (unreasonable) date to accommodate a tenure review process.

If not editor?: I would like to become a full time, salaried editor.

Relax?: Read in the sun at the beach, travel, spend time with my rare breed Bergamasco sheepdog, Bella Ragazza dell’Albera ("Reggae").
